One of the most flavourful pulao yet so simple to make. This rice dish complements any curry or dal.
Fresh or Frozen Peas: 1/2 cup or 75gms
Basmati Rice: 1 cup or 200gms. Wash and soak them in water for ½ hour
Oil or ghee (or mix of both) : 1 tbsp
Cinnamon: 1 inch stick
Bay Leaves :2
1. Add oil/ghee in a large bottomed vessel, add cloves, bay leaves cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Fry for a minute.
2. Add Peas and fry for 2 minutes. The peas should be coated with the oil.
3. Add washed rice and fry for couple of minutes.
4. Add 200ml of water and put a lid and simmer till the rice is done.
